Working with over 3000 weavers across Kenya, Ghana & East Africa the basket room create handmade, ethical baskets & homewares. With the goal to connect traditional weavers with a wider market, reducing dependency on often unreliable self sufficiency farming, The Basket Room works to empower women & preserve ancient skills.
These unique and stunning NDIZI baskets from The Basket Room are the perfect way to help you stay organised around the home. These hand-woven baskets are great to use for pretty much anything including storing toys, blankets and even plants too. Available in XS, S & M.
We love the neutral colour tones in these NDIZI hand-woven baskets. Made from banana tree bark fibre and local sisal. Perfect for in or outdoor planters or flower pots. In store we love storing out plants in them, we love using the small ones as pen pots and storing slippers in the larger baskets!
All baskets from The Basket Room are hand-woven by a small collective of female weavers living new Masinga Dam in Kenya, founded in 1993 and still going strong today. By purchasing a basket from The Basket Room you are helping to support these weavers and their families.
