Happy World Ocean's Day!
At Frankly we wanted to celebrate World Oceans' day by shining a light some of our favorite brands in store, who have ocean conservation at the center of their ethos! World Ocean Day's number one aim is to help to raise awareness and create action for the protection of the environment. We're so proud to support lots of brands in store that have these at the core of their brands and we know you love them too, which is why to celebrate we've put together a small list of all the brands you can support this year in celebration of World Ocean's Day!
Waterhaul
Waterhaul are based in Cornwall with a mission to intercept plastic from our oceans and transform it into high-quality sunglasses.

Every year at least 640,000 tonnes of fishing nets are lost or discarded in the ocean. 46% of ocean plastic, by weight, is attributable to fishing gear.

Waterhaul have turned this problem on it's head, utilising all the properties of fishing nets - durability, abundance & strength - to create their sunglasses. all their glasses are made from 100% recycled plastic with no virgin plastic or chemicals.

Our Staff Pick:
The Harlyn model is made from 100% recycled Cornish gill nets. The frame takes on it’s aqua seaglass appearance entirely from the original pigments in the recycled material. The mid-sized circular frame style suits a broad range of faces.
Washed & Found
All Washed & Found products are designed & made in Bristol from plastic washed up on the Cornish seashore. Creator Viki picks treasures out of the plastics & debris she collects in her regular Cornish beach cleans, setting them in bio-resin. Each design is totally unique & is an amazing reminder of our impact on the natural environment.
Our Staff Pick:

This necklace is lovingly made from bright plastics set in matt bio resin & set on a bright blue cord, embossed with the Washed & Found logo. The length from the top of the cord to the base is 33cm & the cord can be knotted to shorten if desired with the width of the resin from edge to edge is 12cm & the depth is 8cm.

Bloomtown

Bloomtown was born at the kitchen table of husband & wife team Preya & Med after they spent two years in Indonesia witnessing first hand the devastation caused by palm oil cultivation: the loss of virgin forest that is home to endangered orangutans, tigers and so much of the world's biodiversity. They  were horrified to learn that so many of our store-bought products had palm oil lurking in their ingredients labels, sometimes in the form of SLSs, parabens, cetearyl alcohols, polysorbates and hundreds of other guises. BloomTown were the first brand in the UK to go 100% Palm Oil Free.

Our Staff Pick:
All Bloomtown scrubs are made from scratch, no pre-made bases. Only containing natural exfoliants (no plastic microbeads, thank you very much!) and nourishing botanicals that leave skin cleansed and soft.  This 3-in-1 formulation effectively cleanses, exfoliates and moisturises dry skin, washing off easily, so skin is left feeling perfectly soft, never greasy.
EbbFlow Cornwall

Inspired by their home in rugged West Cornwall, EbbFlow Cornwall founder Alice & Anna wanted to create products that were both practical & beautiful. Founded on the principle of 'less is more' EbbFlow Cornwall's range of soft, 100% cotton hammam towels are truly multi-use. Working closely with small producers on the Aegean coast of Turkey, the weaving of these traditional towels is supporting local communities & keeping an ancient craft alive. Alice & Anna love the ocean & want to gaze out to sea and know that sea life is thriving, not choking on plastic or struggling to survive climate change. They are proud to support Surfers Against Sewage in their fight to preserve the oceans for future generations #generationsea.

Our Staff Pick:

EbbFlow Cornwall Logan Hammam Towel

For a super soft hammam towel with a cosy weave look no further than the dependable Logan.
