Original Duckhead was launched by Parisian born Morgan Cros in 2012. Morgan had spent much of her life travelling, residing in New York and then settling in the UK. Surprised by how much it rains in the UK, Morgan wanted to come up with a sustainable solution to combating the rain, in an increasingly digital world our connection to nature has never been more important and so combining these two things were the beginnings of Original Duckhead.

Their innovative and original design, aims to actively remove plastic waste from landfill sites and our oceans by using 9 post-consumer plastic bottles to create the canopy for every single one of our umbrellas. Each umbrella is crafted using high-strength aluminium and steel for our frames, to ensure they can stand the test of even the strongest gales of wind and heaviest thunderstorms.

All Original Duckhead umbrellas are handmade using age old techniques adapted to modern-day usage and built to last season after season, using 100% certified biodegradable poly-bags, which means you can relax that all of our packaging is fully biodegradable in landfill.
