On Tuesday 10th October we will be celebrating
World Mental Health Day. Each year this is an amazing opportunity for people and communities to untie and talk about all things mental health. Whether is be tackling stigma, sharing experiences or creating awareness for mental health across the globe, World Mental Health Day aims to tackle it all.
Having began in 1992, World Mental Health Day has allowed schools to educate pupils further on mental health or for colleagues within a workplace to have an open discussion on their thoughts and feelings, since its beginnings World Mental Health Day has paved the way to tackling the stigma of mental health and making the world a happier place for us all. This years theme is "Mental health is a universal human right”.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) wants to help everyone, whoever and wherever they are and express that everyone has a right to the highest attainable standard of mental health. This includes the right to be protected from mental health risks, the right to available accessible, acceptable and good quality care and also the right to liberty, independence and inclusion in the community.

Since beginning their journey Ali & Finn at The Positive Planner have
made it their mission to empower as many people as possible to make their mental health an absolute priority. In order to do this, they have created beautiful, inspiring and informative planners, journals, artworks and workshops that are designed to support mental health and well being, promote daily positivity and encourage self-care and practice gratitude.

"Our own personal experiences have shown us how lonely and incredibly scary it can feel to go through periods of low mental health. Those times when it feels impossible to help yourself and even harder to find the words to ask for support".

Teaming up, Ali and Finn used writing and creative self-care techniques during their own recoveries and were blown away by just how effective these techniques can be. These were very simple practices but were amazed at just how nourishing and helpful they could be both in the long and short term. Their personal experience with their own mental health combined with the their joint love for stationary, meant that there was only one way to go. It was here that The Positive Planner was born.
.
"Proud doesn’t begin to describe how we feel about The Positive Planner and the strong ethos behind our products. We know that looking after our mental health should be a daily priority, not just something we run to when we hit a crisis. We believe our range is perfect not only for those feeling overwhelmed but for absolutely anyone interested in bringing more self-care and positivity into their lives".
